WATCH 12 of the £200 Watch to Rolex challenge. We are firmly into vintage OMEGA territory. This 1970s Seamaster Chronometer stood out because it is not simply another vintage watch with an unknown mechanical history. The Calibre 1011 movement has been stripped, cleaned, rebuilt, lubricated and regulated, with photographs documenting the work and the resulting timegrapher performance. At 36mm it has the proportions you would expect from a proper vintage Seamaster, with a silver dial, understated case and a genuinely interesting chronometer movement underneath. Another step towards turning the original £200 into a Rolex by Christmas 2026.
