Inspected by J. Batchelor. The watch has been visually inspected on acquisition and presents very well overall. The stainless steel case, bracelet, bezel, dial and crystal all appear clean and well presented, with only light signs of previous handling and wear visible under close inspection. The deep blue dial presents cleanly. The hands, hour markers, red GMT hand and date display appear complete and correctly positioned. The bezel rotates correctly and the bracelet and clasp appear secure. The automatic movement is running at the time of inspection. Time setting, manual winding, GMT adjustment, date change and hacking seconds should be checked again during final pre dispatch inspection. Supplied as pictured. Any box, papers, warranty documentation or additional links should only be listed where physically present with this specific watch. Factory water resistance is 100 metres. No independent pressure test has been carried out by Watch Season, so current water resistance is not guaranteed.
Another Seiko Blueberry through Watch Season, and this one came directly from Harrison during a live video. We sold the last Seiko 5 Sports GMT Blueberry almost immediately, and we already had someone else interested, so when Harrison offered me his, the deal made sense straight away. That is exactly the sort of thing I want Watch Season to become. Buyers, sellers and followers all feeding into the journey in real time, with watches moving from one person to the next through the community we are building around the challenge. This is another Seiko 5 Sports GMT SSK003, with the deep blue dial, blue and black GMT bezel, red GMT hand and automatic 4R34 movement. Another Blueberry. Another quick turnaround opportunity. Another step towards the Rolex.
The Seiko 5 Sports SSK003K1, better known as the “Blueberry”, takes the familiar SKX inspired Seiko 5 design and adds one of the most useful complications available in an everyday automatic watch. The 42.5mm stainless steel case surrounds a deep navy blue dial, complemented by a blue and black 24 hour rotating bezel and a contrasting red GMT hand. Inside is Seiko’s calibre 4R34 automatic movement, offering manual winding, hacking seconds, approximately 41 hours of power reserve and the ability to display a second time zone. The five row stainless steel bracelet is inspired by the classic SKX design, while the exhibition caseback allows the automatic movement to remain visible. A distinctive, practical GMT with strong Seiko heritage and one of the most recognisable colour combinations in the range.
