Inspected by J. Batchelor. The watch presents in good pre owned condition overall, with signs of normal previous use visible across the case, bracelet and clasp. The supplied photographs show surface scratching and light marks to the stainless steel bracelet and clasp, consistent with normal wear. Similar light marks are visible around portions of the case and bezel. The white dial and contrasting subdials present cleanly. No obvious cracks or significant chips are visible to the sapphire crystal from the photographs supplied. The chronograph pushers, crown, date display and hands appear externally complete. Chronograph operation, reset alignment, charging performance and general timekeeping should be confirmed during final inspection before dispatch. Supplied with the original stainless steel bracelet, additional black perforated strap, Seiko presentation box, papers and warranty card. The watch is factory rated to 100 metres water resistance, although no independent pressure test has been carried out by Watch Season, so current water resistance is not guaranteed.
Purchased off a follower of the series... Another Seiko joins the £200 Watch to Rolex journey, but this one is a very different proposition. The Speedtimer Panda is one of those watches that almost everyone recognises. It takes obvious inspiration from classic motorsport chronographs while keeping the dimensions compact enough to work as an everyday watch. For me, the best part about this example is that you effectively get two watches in one. On the steel bracelet it has the clean, classic sports chronograph look. Swap it onto the black perforated strap and it immediately becomes much more purposeful and motorsport focused. It also fits the challenge perfectly. A desirable watch, a recognisable model and something I would genuinely be happy wearing myself while we keep pushing towards the Rolex. Another watch through Watch Season. Another step forward.
The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer SSC813P1 has become one of the most recognisable modern Seiko chronographs, combining the classic panda dial layout with compact 39mm proportions. The white dial is contrasted by three dark subdials, while the black tachymeter bezel and stainless steel case give the watch the motorsport inspired appearance that has made this model so popular. Inside is Seiko’s V192 solar chronograph calibre, meaning there is no routine battery replacement to worry about. Once fully charged, Seiko specifies approximately six months of operation. The watch also features a 60 minute chronograph, 24 hour display, date and power reserve indication. Seiko Watch Corporation This example comes particularly well equipped, with the original stainless steel bracelet and an additional black perforated racing style strap, allowing the character of the watch to change completely depending on how it is worn. Supplied with Seiko presentation box, papers and warranty card.
